Innovation, sustainability and technology for the energy of our future
Antares intends to conceive, produce and industrialise innovative and simple solutions, determined to develop high-performance products, capable of making a significant contribution to the transformation of the energy and environmental landscape.
The company was founded thanks to the synergy between the technical and scientific expertise of its founding members and researchers from IIT, of which Antares is a spin-off.
Antares' appeal to large-scale OEMs is twofold: offering consultancy, manufacturing and R&D services while acting as small-scale validators for the innovative technologies pursued by OEMs.
The Antares team is committed to developing disruptive and high-performance solutions, leveraging innovative electrolysis technologies to produce valuable molecules and substances. These cutting-edge stacks, designed for seamless integration and durability, will enable deep decarbonisation across industrial and civil sectors. By fostering independence from fossil fuels, Antares aims to transform the energy landscape, ensuring long-term energy security. In doing so, it contributes to a brighter, sustainable future and promotes global geopolitical stability.
A rapid transition to net-zero is essential to combat climate change. Closing the carbon and nitrogen cycles requires moving beyond fossil fuels. While electrification is efficient, it cannot address seasonal energy storage or hard-to-abate sectors, where molecules play a key role. Achieving net-zero demands innovative solutions combining electrification with molecular energy carriers.
Achieving decarbonisation requires five goals: improving energy efficiency, producing fossil-free energy, scalable seasonal storage, decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors, and CO₂ capture. By enabling delocalised cheap production of hydrogen, Antares Electrolysis focuses on innovative seasonal storage and transitioning challenging sectors, key pillars of its net-zero contribution.
Decentralised hydrogen or e-fuel production offers key advantages over distant production and transport, including lower costs, no transport leaks, faster deployment, and enhanced resilience. It reduces reliance on single pipelines and unstable nations, boosting energy independence and geopolitical stability.
Antares is ready to commercialise hydrogen production stacks and soon support new electrochemical processes, starting with CO₂ reduction to produce syngas for methanol and chemicals. Long-term plans include advanced processes like nitrogen redox for ammonia. IIT plays a key role in driving research and innovation in these areas.
Antares technology drives innovations in electrochemical processes, enabling the production of key molecules for decarbonising sectors like mobility, aviation, maritime, plastics, chemicals, and fertilisers. Its advanced stacks support a sustainable transformation across industries, fostering a cleaner, more efficient future.
Electrochemical processes converting electrons into molecules are key to decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors. Hydrogen is the first step, but the real revolution lies beyond. Electrochemistry bridges the gap to a fossil-free future, and Antares aims to lead in industrialising these transformative solutions for a sustainable tomorrow.
